This is my first review… so what better game to talk about than the one that truly got me hooked into gaming in the first place? Yes, Mario , but I doubt your surprised. If you grew up in the 90’s you probably remember playing this growing up. Being the sequel to Mario Bro’s, Super Mario Bro’s (S.M.B.) had some big changes in gameplay that will soon be the formula for future S.M.B. games. Instead of hitting enemies from the platform beneath them, Mario can now jump on top of them. Added to that are Power ups that give you invincibility and allow you to shoot up to 2 fireballs at a time. Super Mario Bro’s was packed full of secrets, and i was able to find them as a kid. Before YouTube was invented, finding secrets in games was a challenge, so actually finding them on your own was very satisfying. What really made this game stand out more than other NES games was 2 things, the music and fluid gameplay. The music is unforgettable, i bet you can hum the theme song, come on how could anyone not? And the controls, it’s so good that you can make really precise jumps for epic moments. In conclusion, I LOVED THIS GAME! Mario really deserves the mass amount of Fame he has, because he is one of the most loved characters in gaming history! With that said, this is TGR saying, thanks for reading! MAMA MIA!
